Had Allergic Reaction to Saniderm - What do I do?

I recently got this tattoo of a fish bone, exactly a week ago. I asked my artist to put the Saniderm on it because I heard it promotes healing. She puts the Saniderm on and I leave pretty happy with it.

The next day, I realize the skin underneath the saniderm is super red, swollen and inflamed. I contact my artist and she tells me to take it off ASAP so I do and I wash it with an antibacterial soap and apply a thin layer of moisturizer.

It looks pretty bad right after taking the second skin off, so I go to the doctor on Monday (2 days after the tattoo) and am prescribed Hydrocortisone which I am told to apply 3x a day until Thursday, then go down to once a day. My tattoo artist tells me to stop putting any moisturizer and let it dry out.

Well, here I am now, and my tattoo looks pretty bad. The ink is completely coming out, it’s extremely dry and along some of the lines, it’s completely indented into my skin. It burns pretty bad and hurts to move my arm, and every morning when I wake up I see that it leaked all over my blankets overnight and have to keep changing my bedding.

I don’t know what to do, my artist and doctor are telling me opposite info. Should I let it dry out or moisturize it? Is it infected?

I’ll include pictures of when it was just finished being tatted, the day I removed the saniderm, and now.

TIA!
