Kleenex and crying destroyed my skin barrier

I cried for hours last night and went through a whole box of Kleenex and now all the skin around my nose and above my lip is burning and irritated. Has this happened to anyone else? How long did it take to heal? Is slathering cicaplast my best bet? 😭
