I feel like today was a turning point for me as far as mobility goes. I've noticed it's easier to get up from the couch and I'm faster when walking around the house. I'm still really swollen but I'm now able to fit my foam pad inside my garment in my lower back area; was suppose to have done that since day 3 but I've been too swollen to fit it. My FMLA and STD was also approved today which is HUGE weight off my shoulders! Since I had a hernia repair as well, I can't lift for more than 15 lbs for 6 weeks. I'm a paramedic so of course that means I can't do my job at all. I was worried I'd have to "suck it up and hope for the best" and go back this weekend after my vacation time runs out. But now I get to relax and not worry about injuring myself by returning too soon. Today is a good day 😊
