Alfa Romeo Giulia or Audi A6?

I'm in the market for a new car, and I've spent many weeks pouring over possible choices and narrowed it down to the Alfa Romeo Giulia or Audi A6.

Neither brand is known for being particularly reliable, or cheap to maintain. But I get I'm not buying a Honda here. I kind of excepted the consensus would be that Alfa's were the least reliable and most expensive to maintain between the two. But low and behold browsing Reddit I found a lot of posts that said their post 2017 model Giulia's were impressively reliable with the exception of the battery causing the random hicup. Audi owners in some threads the other hand have called the A6 a "money-pit", worst car they every bought, etc.

So I would like some input here, Giulia or A6? I'm primarily just commuting.
