Table or miter saw?

I currently own a basic circular saw and a variety of jigs/straight edges/etc to get pretty accurate cuts. Most of my current projects are standard homeowner maintenance with some basic cabinetry/shelving in the mix. I have plans to build a deck, pergola, window flower boxes, trellis, and more elaborate cabinetry (which will certainly require a table saw) in the next couple months. The question is, can I get away with ~most~ of these projects just using my circular saw and a table saw with an upgraded miter gauge? I am considering the Skil 10” portable table saw ($299) and the Skil 10” sliding compound miter saw ($249). I only have the budget for one of these tools at the moment.

Which, the table or miter saw, would you opt for?

Thanks in advance for the feedback!

Edit: I should also note that I really can’t be convinced to buy an expensive ($400+) miter OR table saw before I get some good use out of either entry level tool. I’m more than happy to put time/additional effort into a tool with less bells/whistles in the meantime.
